My Philosophy:

The body is a gateway to awareness and higher consciousness. Since our body is our teacher and guide in life, awakening to your inner body guidance is the major focus of my work. Listening to and paying attention to the information your body transfers to the mind will help you experience greater awareness in all areas of your life. There is no disconnection between your body and your mind. It is all one, and it is in the integration and awareness of the two that brings healing and experiencing wholeness.
Touch with awareness brings body and mind together, connected for health and vitality.

My Journey

In 1979, I was introduced to Shiatsu and Tai Chi on my travels to Southeast Asia. I started to study both when I returned to Denmark and had the privilege to study Shiatsu with Shizuko Yamamoto, Rex Lasalle, and Masahiro Oki. I studied Tai Chi with Bill Dockens and Troels Dahlgård.
The study of Shiatsu brought me to the USA in 1985 and to the The International School of Shiatsu with Saul Goodman. I also took classes with Waturo Ohashi and Luigi Gargioli.
In 1987, I was introduced to Taoist Master Mantac Chia with whom I studied with for many years and became a Healing Tao Instructor, teaching within his system in Tai Chi, Qigong and Meditation.

My husband and I lived for several years on the Rosebud Sioux Reservation in South Dakota, where we were adopted into a Lakota family. Participating in Lakota traditional ceremonies profoundly shaped my relationship with the land, influencing my healing work to this day.

I have been in private practice for over 30 years, working with Shiatsu and
Chi Nei Tsang and continue to teach Tai Chi, Chi Kung, Shiatsu, and Meditation here in the USA and Europe.
